Down in Palam, Delhi, our work happens at Wz- 98 A/3 in Street No. 8 of Sadh Nagar. We are situated right with Hariom Swami, and it’s a typical residential-turned-commercial street. This Safexpress Pvt Ltd office is a bit of a maze to get to if you aren’t from around these parts, but once you find the right turn, we are easy to spot. The building is a regular house-style structure where we have set up our desks. Inside, it’s a mix of boxes, paperwork, and a few computers. We aren’t a big, shiny corporate office; we are more of a local hub for logistics. There are about five of us who work here regularly. We know the people living on the street and often stop to chat with them. The space is a bit cramped, especially when new shipments are being processed, but we make it work somehow. We use simple chairs and big tables to spread out our documents. Sometimes the street gets blocked by a truck or a delivery van, and we all have to go out and help direct traffic. It’s just part of the job. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a big cafeteria. We usually just bring our tiffins from home and eat together at the main table. It’s a grounded way to work, and it keeps us connected to the neighborhood we serve every day.
