Working out of Kasho Ram Park near the Binda Pur DDA flats is always interesting because of how much life is around us in Uttam Nagar. Our place at A-12 is right in the thick of things. It’s a bit of a dusty area with all the construction and the traffic from New Delhi-59, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We handle a lot of freight and shipping stuff here, so there is always a layer of grit on the windows and the sound of heavy vehicles nearby. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, computers, and stacks of shipping manifests. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the decor. The floor is concrete and we have a small corner where we keep the water cooler and a few spare chairs for when we take a break. Usually, we are busy answering the phones or talking to drivers who are trying to find their way through the local streets. It’s a lot of manual work and keeping track of numbers. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. It’s just us, wearing regular clothes and trying to make sure the day goes by without too many problems. We stay late some nights when the shipments are heavy, just to make sure everything is sorted for the next morning's run.
