S. V. Marketing

S. V. Marketing is right in the middle of the chaos at Katra Tobacco in Khari Baoli. If you’ve ever been to Aggarwal Market, you know how loud and busy it gets around here. Our shop is at 2210/19. It’s a tight space but it works for what we do. Every morning the market wakes up early and there are sacks and boxes moving everywhere. We deal with all sorts of marketing tasks from this little corner. The air always smells like spices and tobacco because of where we are situated. It can be a bit overwhelming for someone not used to the Khari Baoli crowd. We don’t have a big fancy office with glass walls. It’s mostly just shelves, some old furniture, and us trying to keep track of the stock and the orders coming in. The floor is usually covered in some dust from the street. We’ve been in this market for a good while now and know most of the other shopkeepers around us. It’s a community where everyone knows everyone else’s business. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, so we just sit outside and wait or talk to the neighbors. We don’t spend much on making the place look pretty because the work is what matters. Most of our day is spent on the phone or talking to people who walk in off the street looking for specific items we handle. It is just a normal shop in a very old part of Delhi.
