Being here at Plot No. 1577/30 in Nai Wala is something else. If you have ever been to Karol Bagh, you know how it is. It’s crowded and loud and there are people everywhere. We are right near the Karol Bagh Metro, so there is a constant stream of folks walking past. Across from us is the Arya Book Depot, which is a good landmark for people who can't find our door. S. K. Auto Spares is mostly just shelves and shelves of parts. It’s a bit of a maze inside honestly. We have boxes stacked up to the ceiling in some corners. It gets dusty, especially when the wind kicks up on the main road. We spend a lot of time looking through catalogs or climbing ladders to find one specific screw or a gasket someone needs for an old car. It’s not a quiet job. The metro trains rumble nearby and the street vendors are always shouting. Sometimes it’s hard to hear yourself think. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and the neighborhood hasn't changed much, just gotten more packed. We drink a lot of tea to get through the afternoon. It’s just a regular shop where we try to keep things moving. We aren't trying to be anything special, just a place in Karol Bagh where you can get what you need for your vehicle without too much fuss. That is basically us.
