Rohit Clinic

Rohit Clinic is located right in Gali Number 8. If you’re familiar with Shahdara, you know how narrow these lanes can get near Durgapuri Chowk. We are close to Jyoti Colony. It’s a small place, nothing like the giant hospitals you see in the city center. We focus on the basics. Mostly, it’s just the doctor and a couple of us helping out with the front desk and cleaning. People come in from the neighborhood with coughs or stomach aches. We see a lot of the same faces every month. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re more worried about keeping the medicine cabinet stocked. It gets really dusty outside because of all the construction and traffic nearby, so we spend half the day just wiping down the desks. It’s a noisy area, but once you step inside, it’s a bit calmer. We don’t have a website or a fancy booking system. People just show up and wait their turn. Sometimes the wait is long if the doctor is busy talking to someone, but nobody seems to mind much. We’ve been here in D3B for a long time. It’s a simple life. We close up in the evenings once the last patient leaves. It’s not about being the biggest; it’s just about being here for the people who live in the gali. We do what we can with what we have.
