Rima Garment

Our place is at R. Z. -148 on Street Number 4. We are in Durga Park. It’s one of those narrow streets where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We do garments here. It’s mostly just us and a few sewing machines that have been with us for a long time. The room gets a bit warm in the summer, so we keep the fans going all day long. We spend a lot of time looking at thread colors and different fabric textures. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we don’t mind it much. We’ve been in Durga Park for a while and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. We don't do any big advertising or have a website. Usually, people just stop by because they heard about us from a neighbor or someone else in the area. The shop is small and it can get very crowded when we have a lot of fabric rolls lying around. We try to keep it tidy, but that’s easier said than done when you're busy. We just do the work and try to get things finished on time for the people waiting. It’s a small operation, just a local business trying to keep things going. We like being part of the street and talking to people who pass by our door every day. We don't ask for much.
