Ranjit Gears

Ranjit Gears is based in East Rohtas Nagar, specifically at 1351/B-1. Shahdara is a crowded place, and our street is no different. We’ve been working with gears here for a long time. The space is a bit tight, but we’ve managed to fit all the machinery we need into the shop. It’s a local operation, mostly just a few of us who know how to handle the lathes and cutting tools. You can hear the machines running from the street most of the day. We don't really have a website or fancy brochures. People usually find us by word of mouth or by just walking past in the neighborhood. The floors are usually covered in metal shavings and oil, which is pretty standard for a place like this. We handle small batches mostly. Sometimes a customer brings in a broken part and asks if we can match it. We do what we can with the tools we have. It’s a lot of manual work and measuring twice. East Rohtas Nagar has changed over the years, but we’ve stayed in this same spot. It’s a practical way to make a living. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in Delhi, just trying to keep the machines humming. It gets loud and grease gets everywhere, but that’s the job. We close up in the evenings and start over again the next day. Sometimes we stay late if a specific gear needs finishing, but usually, we stick to a regular schedule.
