Ramanath Iyer Co is situated at Hno 316 in Pana Udhyana, which is up in Narela, Delhi. It’s a bit out of the main city center, so the atmosphere is a little different here. The air is a bit dustier and the roads can be a bit rough, but it’s home for us. We’ve been at this address for a long time. The building is an older one, nothing special to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of shelves filled with folders. We spend most of our hours checking through entries and making sure the numbers align. It’s a lot of sitting and looking at screens or paper. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you walk in, you’re basically standing right where we work. That’s just how we like it, keeps things straightforward. Narela is a growing area with lots of small industries around, so we stay pretty busy with the locals. We usually pack our lunches and eat together at the big table in the back. Sometimes someone brings in sweets if there’s a festival. It’s a very plain, no-nonsense kind of environment. We don’t do much in the way of decorating or trying to look impressive. The work speaks for itself at the end of the day. We finish up, lock the door, and head home like everyone else in the colony. It's a long commute for some, but we've gotten used to the drive.
