Ram Mehar & Co.

Ram Mehar & Co. is located at Plot No-73/13 on the Main Road, right in the heart of the Assam Timber Market in Mundka. If you’ve ever been to this part of Nangloi, you know it’s full of wood, sawdust, and trucks. Swarn Park is just nearby, but our day-to-day life is really centered on the timber market activities. We’ve been working out of this plot for quite a bit. It’s not a clean or quiet job, but we aren't the type to sit in a quiet office anyway. The air always smells like fresh-cut logs and diesel from the cranes. We start early, usually before the traffic on Main Road gets too heavy. Our setup is pretty basic—just the storage space, a small area for paperwork, and enough room to move the stock around. We don’t have a website with fancy photos or a glossy brochure. If people want to see what we have, they usually just walk in and take a look themselves. We talk to our customers plainly and tell them what’s available and what isn't. It’s a tough environment sometimes, especially when it’s dusty or raining, but we’ve grown used to it over the years. We just focus on keeping the yard organized and making sure the timber moves out when it's supposed to. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy and we're used to the grind by now. That's life here.
