R J Goel Co operates out of House No D 162 in Karampura, right off Shivaji Marg here in New Delhi. It’s an old-school kind of setup, being based in a house like this. We’ve grown attached to the 110015 area over the years. The front room serves as the main workspace, and we’ve converted most of the other rooms into storage or smaller offices for files. It’s got a much more personal feel than those big office blocks you see elsewhere in the city. You can hear the street noise from Shivaji Marg throughout the day, which keeps us feeling connected to what’s going on outside. We don't have a big sign out front or anything. Most people who come here already know where we are. We spend our days mostly handling the paperwork and talking to people who drop by. It’s a small team, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from answering the door to filing the tax papers. We aren't big on formalities. If you come in, you’ll probably find us in the middle of a discussion or buried under some folders. We just try to get through the work without making a big fuss about it. It’s a simple way of doing business, and it’s worked for us for a long time. We like the neighborhood and the people in it.
