R D Ramnath Co is located over in A-25 Hauz Khas, which is a part of Delhi that has changed a lot since we first started out. These days, the neighborhood is full of boutiques and cafes, but our office still feels like a bit of a throwback to how things used to be. The building is older, and the rooms have high ceilings that make it hard to keep cool in the middle of summer, even with the fans going full blast. We have stacks of ledgers and old files sitting in the corners because we never quite got around to throwing them away. It is not the kind of place where you will see people in suits; we usually just wear what is comfortable for a long day of paperwork and phone calls. Sometimes the internet goes out when the weather is bad, and we have to sit around waiting for the provider to fix the line. It gives us a chance to actually talk to each other instead of staring at screens. The front door has a bit of a creak to it that we keep meaning to oil, but everyone knows when someone is coming in because of that sound. We keep a simple routine here, mostly dealing with the same group of people we have known for years, and that is just the way we like it.
