Our office is on the 2nd floor of the NBCC Tower at 15 Bhikaji Cama Place. It’s a well-known building in this part of the city. The area is always packed with people working in different sectors. We spend our days dealing with power trading and all the paperwork that comes with it. The office itself is quite functional. We have rows of computers and a lot of filing cabinets that have seen better days. It can get pretty loud during the peak hours when everyone is on the phone. We don't have a lot of decorations, maybe just a few plants that someone forgets to water occasionally. The commute to Bhikaji Cama Place can be a bit of a struggle for some of the staff, but once we’re here, it’s a focused environment. We usually grab lunch from the stalls downstairs; the food is better than what you’d get in a fancy cafeteria. We’ve been in this tower for a good stretch of time now. We know the security guards and the guys who run the lift. It’s a community of sorts. We just try to get through our daily tasks without too much fuss. There’s always a lot of data to check and emails to answer. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s important work that keeps things running behind the scenes. We like the stability of this place and the people we work with every day.
