Prince Auto Centre

Prince Auto Centre is at Shop Number 42 in the Mini Market of Punjabi Bagh, which is part of the larger Transport Nagar area. Being in Transport Nagar means we are right in the middle of all the truck and commercial vehicle activity. It’s a very busy and dusty place, with heavy vehicles moving in and out all day long. We have been operating from this small shop for quite a few years now. The space is tight, filled mostly with heavy-duty tools and stacks of parts for trucks. We spend a lot of our time working outside on the pavement because the shop itself is too small for the big vehicles. Our hands and clothes are almost always covered in grease and grime. It’s a tough environment, but it’s the life we’ve chosen. We know most of the other shop owners in the Mini Market, and we often help each other out with parts or advice. There isn't much in the way of comfort here; we usually just sit on plastic crates when we take a break. The local tea stall is our main source of refreshment throughout the day. We don’t do any advertising or have a fancy sign. Most drivers know us by word of mouth or just because they’ve seen us working here for years. We just keep our heads down and do the work, staying until every truck is ready for the road again.
