Polymeric Industries

You can find us over at Plot No FB-4 in Tagore Garden. We are pretty close to Tagore Hospital, which is a good landmark if you are trying to find the place. At Polymeric Industries, we work with plastics and polymers most of the day. It’s a process of melting things down and molding them into different shapes. The smell of heating plastic is something you just get used to after a week of working here. Our building isn't anything special, just a solid place where we can keep our molds and the injection machines. We spend a lot of time checking the temperature settings because if they are off even a little bit, the whole batch can get ruined. It’s a lot of waiting for machines to cycle and then packing the finished parts into boxes. We have a small group of workers who have been with us for a long time. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with meetings and presentations. We just talk over tea about what needs to be shipped out by the end of the week. Being near the hospital means there is always some traffic and activity around, but inside the gate, we just focus on the polymers. It’s a basic industrial setup and we try to keep things running smoothly without making too much of a fuss about it. We take the orders as they come and just keep the machines going until the job is done.
