Pioneer Pharma

If you've ever been to Nehru Place, you know it's a bit of a maze. We are on the 5th floor of Padma Palace, at number 86. It’s Pioneer Pharma. Being on the 5th floor means we spend a decent amount of time waiting for the elevators, which can be slow during the lunch rush when everyone is heading out. The office is usually full of cardboard boxes and piles of paperwork. Because it’s pharma, everything has to be tracked carefully, so we have a lot of files. The view from the window isn't much to look at, just other buildings and the tops of cars down below. Nehru Place is always loud, but up here it’s a bit quieter than on the ground level. We mostly deal with vendors and pharmacies. It’s not a place where people just walk in to buy stuff over the counter. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea for the staff. The carpet is a bit worn out in the spots where we walk the most between the desks and the storage room. Most of us have been working here for a few years, so we have a good rhythm. We know which days are going to be busy based on when the big shipments arrive. It can be a bit cramped when a large order comes in and we have to stack boxes in the hallway for a while. We just try to stay on top of the daily tasks. It’s a regular office job in a busy part of Delhi.
