We’re up on the second floor at No. 89 in Khirki Village. If you look across the road, you’ll see the big Select City Walk mall, which is a huge contrast to the narrow lanes and small shops over here. We go by Peoples Vision. Our space is simple, just some chairs and the equipment we need to do our jobs. We spend our time helping folks with their eyesight. It might be checking a prescription or helping someone pick out a pair of frames that don't cost a fortune. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit narrow and steep, so you have to watch your step. We like being in the village because it feels more connected to the people who actually live here. It’s not like the big shops in the mall where everything is shiny and expensive. Here, it’s a bit more relaxed and informal. We have a small window that looks out over the street, and it’s a good spot to watch the world go by when things are quiet. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out or use a flashlight. Our staff is small, just a couple of us who know how to handle the lenses and frames. We don't do much advertising; most people just find us by word of mouth or by walking past the sign downstairs. It's a practical, honest little place where we try to make sure people can see a bit better than when they first walked in.
