Our office is located in the Akashdeep building on Barakhamba Road. It’s right in the middle of everything in Delhi. Peekay Dealer has been operating out of 26A for quite a while. It’s a typical older office building. The hallways are a bit narrow and you can hear the city traffic all day long. We aren’t a factory; we mostly handle the paperwork and the dealing side of the business. There are desks piled with files and phones that ring more than they should. It’s a small group of us here. We grab tea from the stall downstairs and spend the day talking to suppliers and customers. We don’t have a lot of modern art on the walls or anything like that. Just some calendars and maybe a map. It’s a busy spot, and sometimes the lift takes forever, so we just take the stairs. Being on Barakhamba Road means we are close to everything, which helps with the banking and meetings. We just get on with the trade. It’s about making the calls, checking the prices, and getting the orders sorted. Nothing too flashy, just the regular work of a dealership in the heart of the city. We’ve seen the skyline change, but our office stays pretty much the same. We don’t have any corporate slogans, just a bunch of desks and some people trying to keep the trade moving smoothly every day. We usually leave once the last courier is picked up and the registers are closed for the evening.
