We are over here at B-76 in the Mayapuri Industrial Area, Phase 1. It is a busy spot and we have been at this location for quite a while now. The shop floor is usually pretty loud because the machines for making the springs are always running. We deal with a lot of steel wire and heavy coils that come in every week. Sometimes the dust from the industrial area gets inside, but we just keep the floor swept and stay on top of the orders. Most of the guys here live nearby, so they walk or bike into work every morning. We start early, usually when the sun is just coming up, to get a head start before the heat really kicks in. The workbench is covered in grease and measuring tools because that is just the way it goes when you are winding metal. We don't really have a fancy office or anything like that. Just a small desk where we keep the paperwork and take calls. If you come by, you’ll probably see a few trucks loading up in the alley. It gets a bit crowded on the street sometimes, especially during the middle of the day. We just focus on the work at hand and making sure the springs are sized right. It’s a lot of repetitive movement, watching the wire bend and cut, day in and day out. We take our tea breaks together in the small corner by the door. It’s just how we run things here.
