About Palm Pro Sound and Light Expo 2015 – Electrical in New Delhi
We spent a lot of time getting things ready for the 2015 show at Pragati Maidan. It's a big place and can be a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. We had to coordinate with a lot of different people to get the sound gear and lighting rigs set up in the right halls. Dealing with the logistics there takes a lot of patience. Some days we were there from early morning until late at night just making sure the wiring was right. It’s mostly about the equipment and the people who use it. We saw a lot of familiar faces from the industry during those days. The heat in Delhi can be tough when you’re moving heavy boxes around the grounds. Most of us have been doing this for a while so we know the drill. It’s just work, really. You show up, handle the gear, and try to make sure everything plugs in where it's supposed to. There were a few hiccups with the power supply now and then, but that’s just how it goes at these big venues. We kept ourselves busy with the stage setups and talking to the tech guys. It wasn't anything fancy, just a lot of manual labor and checking lists. Pragati Maidan is huge, so we walked miles every day. By the end of the week, everyone was pretty tired but the job got finished. We just focused on the task at hand and stayed until it was done.
