Rama Rolling Shutter Works

Rama Rolling Shutter Works is located at number 75 on Rani Jhansi Road. We are right on M. M. Road in the Pahar Ganj area. It’s a very crowded part of the city with a lot of noise. You can hear the sounds of metal hitting metal all day long at our place. We make shutters for shops and warehouses. It’s heavy work and involves a lot of welding and cutting. My clothes usually have a few burn holes in them by the end of the week. We have grease on our hands most of the time. The shop is open to the street, so the dust comes in constantly. We don't mind it much. People come to us when they need to secure their storefronts. We take the measurements and get to work. Sometimes the steel prices go up and it makes things difficult, but we manage. My brother and I run the place together. We learned the trade from our uncle who had a small shop nearby. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know our name from seeing our shutters on other buildings. The tea stall next door brings us chai twice a day. It’s a hard life but it’s what we know how to do. Pahar Ganj is always moving, and we are just a small part of it. We stay open until the last job is finished.
