It’s been quite a few years since we set up shop here in Mianwali Nagar, right near Rohtak Road. If you know this part of Paschim Vihar, you know how busy it gets with the traffic and people moving about. We’re mostly busy with building stuff and fixing up interiors. It’s a lot of dusty work, to be honest. Some days the office is covered in wood shavings or paint samples. We don't have a big fancy showroom with bright lights. It's just a place where we sit down with blueprints and try to figure out how to make a wall look straight or where a cabinet fits best. My guys are usually out on site, so it gets quiet here sometimes, but there’s always a phone ringing or someone dropping by to ask about a leak or a renovation project. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot. People come in wanting something they saw on the internet, and we have to explain how the plumbing actually works behind the tiles. It’s practical work. We spend a lot of time talking to vendors and making sure the cement arrives on time. It isn't always glamorous, and things sometimes get delayed because that’s just how construction goes in Delhi. We just try to get the job done so people can move into their homes without too much of a headache. Most of our day is spent measuring things twice and making sure the laborers know what the plan is for the afternoon.
