Wani Shawl Industry

We are over here at E- 18 on the first floor in Johri Farm. It is right in Noor Nagar, Okhla. Working with different shawls takes up most of our days. Some days it gets pretty busy around here. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit narrow, but we manage somehow. People know the place as Wani Shawl Industry. We have been in this spot for a while now. It isn't a fancy office or anything like that. Instead, it is just a work space where things get done. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait a bit. Sitting and talking until it comes back is what we usually do. You can see the street from our window. There is always something happening in Noor Nagar. Usually, there are trucks or bikes making noise outside. We keep our supplies stacked against the wall. It gets a little dusty sometimes because of the traffic. My brother helps out with the inventory. Since we don't really do big ads, mostly folks just find us by walking into the building. It is a simple setup. If you are looking for the place, look for the sign near the entrance of E- 18. We stay here from morning until the sun goes down. Most of the time is spent getting the shawls ready. It is honest work and we like being part of the local Okhla community.
