Our factory, New White Cables Industries Pvt. Ltd., is at A-55 in the Jhilmil Industrial Area. It’s right off the GT Road in Shahdara. The area is packed with other factories and workshops. It’s a noisy place with the sound of machines running all day long. We have a lot of heavy spools and cable rolls taking up most of the floor space. It’s not the cleanest environment, but that’s the nature of making cables. We’ve got a dedicated crew who have been with us for years. They know how the machines sound when they’re working right. We don't have a fancy reception area. If you come to see us, you’ll walk right into the middle of the work. The office is just a small room partitioned off from the main floor. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the wire and making sure the insulation is right. It’s repetitive work but it’s what we do. The GT Road traffic is always a challenge when we’re trying to move goods out. We don’t do a lot of advertising. Most of our work comes from long-standing relationships with distributors. We aren't trying to be a huge corporation. We just want to make sure the cables we produce are decent and get delivered on time. It’s a simple goal for a busy shop in Shahdara. We just stick to the basics of cable making and handle the daily grind as best as we can.
