Navkar Spares

We’ve been here at Kashmere Gate for a good while now. Navkar Spares is tucked away at No.818/3 on Tilak Street, which is usually quite a crowded spot if you know the area well. It gets very busy around here, especially in the mornings when everyone is trying to get their parts sorted for the day. Most people just walk in looking for something very specific for their vehicle. We spend most of our day behind the counter, looking through old boxes or checking the metal shelves. It’s not a fancy place at all, just a regular shop with walls lined with all different kinds of spare parts. Sometimes the dust gets in from the busy street outside, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We mostly deal with people who have been coming to us for many years. They know where we are and what we do. Usually, the conversation is just about what part fits what model and how much it’s going to cost today. It is a lot of back and forth, really. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the stock really piles up on us. Tilak Street has its own rhythm. You hear the horns outside and the tea seller passing by every hour or so. It’s a simple life running a shop here. We open up early and stay until the shutters go down. There is always something to do, like checking the inventory.
