We’ve been here at Gali Bhairon Wali in Jogiwara for a long time now. If you know Nai Sarak, you know how crowded it gets, especially in the afternoons. Our shop at No. 4278 is usually full of stacks of fabric and ready pieces. It isn't a fancy place with big lights or anything like that. It’s just us working through the day, sorting through orders and talking to people who walk in from the street. Some days are louder than others. The morning starts with tea and getting the shutters up. We spend a lot of time checking the stitching and making sure the colors look right under the shop lights. It’s a lot of manual work, moving bundles around and making space where there isn’t much. The lanes are narrow here, so getting things in and out takes some patience. We know most of the people nearby by name because we see them every day. Sometimes people just stop by to say hello while we’re middle of counting stock. We don’t have a big office or a desk for everyone, just the main counter where everything happens. It gets a bit dusty with all the clothes moving around, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We keep things simple and just focus on getting the work done before the market closes for the night. It's a small team, and we all do a bit of everything, from folding to billing.
