National Industries

National Industries is located right in the middle of the bustle at 4459 Chawri Bazar. We are pretty close to the Metro Station and not far from the Town Hall on Nai Sarak. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know it’s crowded and loud and there is always something happening. Our building is old, like most of them around here, with narrow stairs and rooms that feel smaller than they are because of all the stock we keep. Every morning, the streets are packed before we even get the shutters up. You can hear the rickshaws and the people shouting to get through the crowds. It’s a lot of energy, though it can be tiring by the end of the week. Inside our space, it’s a bit more organized, but still very full. We have things stacked up to the ceiling in some parts. We’ve been here for a long time, and we know most of the other shopkeepers on the block. It’s the kind of place where you can hear the Metro trains rumbling if you listen closely enough. We don't bother with much decoration; the walls are mostly covered with shelves and old calendars. It’s a practical setup for a practical business. We deal with the heat in the summer and the crowds all year round. It’s just part of being in Nai Sarak, and we wouldn't know what to do with ourselves in a quiet office.
