N D M C Hospital

We are located on Lodhi Road, specifically the Palika Maternity Hospital. It’s a well-known spot in this part of the city. Being a maternity hospital, things are a bit different here than a regular general hospital. There is a lot of waiting, a lot of family members hanging around, and of course, the sound of babies. Lodhi Road is quite a nice area with all the trees, but once you step inside, it’s all business. We have the labor rooms and the wards where the new mothers stay. The building is solid and has that old government-style feel to it. It’s not modern and sleek, but it’s reliable. We have a lot of nurses who have been working here for twenty years or more. They know exactly how things run. We don’t have any fancy mission statements on the walls. We just have schedules and duty rosters. Every day is a mix of being very busy and then having these quiet moments in the middle of the night. People come from all over to this hospital. We try to keep the paperwork moving so folks can get home with their new additions. It’s a lot of work, and it can be exhausting, but it’s a living. We just keep the lights on and the doors open for whoever needs us on Lodhi Road. We take the work seriously.
