You can find us over at C-45 in Okhla Industrial Area, Phase-I. It’s a loud area with a lot of trucks moving in and out all day. Mvd Auto Components Pvt. Ltd is basically a shop floor filled with machines and the smell of cut metal. We spend most of our time looking at blueprints or checking the dimensions of the parts we’re making. It’s not the kind of place you’d visit for a chat, though people do drop by. The floor is usually covered in some kind of shavings, and everyone wears boots. We’ve been at this spot in Okhla for years. The traffic outside can be a nightmare in the evenings, but inside we just keep the machines running. We make various components that go into vehicles. It’s technical work but it’s also just a lot of manual handling. We have a small office tucked in the corner where the paperwork piles up. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend the whole afternoon fixing them instead of producing anything. That’s just part of life in an industrial zone. We don’t have a flashy lobby or anything. Just the work area and the loading dock. It gets hot in the summer, especially with the motors running, but we have a few fans going. It’s a straightforward operation for us. We just keep our heads down and get the manufacturing done every single day.
