We have been operating out of G-23 and unit 207 in Sector-7, Rohini, for quite a few years now. This part of New Delhi is always crowded, so there is never a dull moment around the office. We mainly handle the C&F work for M/S Tirupati Transport C&Fa Hindustan Unilever Ltd. It involves a lot of keeping track of trucks and making sure the inventory is right. The desks are usually covered in manifests and delivery notes. We don't have a fancy lobby or any air conditioning in the main loading area, so it gets pretty hot during the summer months. Our staff just gets on with it, drinking tea and checking the logs. Sometimes the trucks are late because of the traffic on the outer ring road, which is just part of the daily life in transport. We try to keep the paperwork organized, but it’s a constant battle with the sheer volume of goods moving through here. It is a bit loud with the street noise coming in through the windows. We don't spend money on big signs or anything. People who need to find us know where we are. It’s a busy, dusty, and honest kind of work. We aren't trying to be anything other than a solid transport and clearing house. Most of the guys here have worked together for a long time, so we have a rhythm that works for us even when things get hectic. We stay until the last truck is done and the gate is locked for the night.
