Ms Suhani Creations

You can find Ms Suhani Creations at G41 on the ground floor, right in the middle of Old Delhi Story in Lajpat Nagar IV. It’s a small space, but we’ve managed to fit in all the sewing machines and fabrics we need. There are threads of every color you can think of sitting on the shelves. Most of the time, the floor is covered in small scraps of cloth that we sweep up at the end of the day. It’s a busy neighborhood, so there is always someone peaking through the door or asking about a repair. We do a lot of custom work and some ready-made things too. The sound of the sewing machines is like music to us after all these years. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle a needle and thread. Sometimes the orders pile up and we have to stay late to finish everything on time. We use a big heavy iron that puts out a lot of steam. It makes the air a bit humid in the shop. We like being in Lajpat Nagar because people here appreciate good work. We don't have a fancy website or anything. Most of our customers come because their friends told them about us. It’s a bit cramped inside, especially when we have big rolls of fabric delivered, but we make it work. It’s just a honest place to get things made and we enjoy the daily rush.
