Down in Okhla Industrial Area, Phase II, things are always moving. We are located at 62, Dsidc, and honestly, it’s a bit of a maze back here if you aren't used to it. Monarch Surgical Industries is basically a place where we get our hands dirty making surgical items. It’s noisy because of the machinery and there’s always the smell of metal and cleaning supplies in the air. We aren't an office full of people in suits; most of us are in work clothes because we’re actually on the floor a lot. The industrial estate has its own rhythm. You get to know the truck drivers and the guys at the other units nearby. It’s a hardworking environment. We spend our time making sure the tools are shaped right and the machines are calibrated properly. Sometimes a machine breaks down and the whole afternoon is spent fixing it, which can be frustrating, but we just get on with it. It’s honest work. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anything like that. If you come to see us, you’ll see the reality of how these things are made. It’s practical and a bit messy at times, but we take care with what we do. The heat in the summer can be tough in these units, but we’ve got some fans going and we just keep at it until the day is done.
