We’ve been here in Mayapuri Phase-1 for a long time now. If you walk past Green Gate, you’ll find our unit at B-118. It’s a busy spot. Most days start early with the sound of metal hitting metal and the smell of cutting oil in the air. We aren't a big fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a workshop where we get our hands dirty making tools. Sometimes the power goes out or a machine gets stuck, and we just deal with it. My father started things out, and now we just keep the machines running. People come in looking for specific parts or some custom tool work, and we try to figure out how to make it happen. The floors are usually covered in metal shavings by lunch, and we spend a good bit of time sweeping up. Mayapuri is always loud, so you get used to shouting over the noise of the grinders. We don’t have a sales team or anyone in suits. It’s just us and the guys who know how to handle the lathes and drills. It gets hot in the summer, but the fans keep things moving. We’ve had some of the same guys working here for ten years. They know exactly how each machine sounds when it’s running right. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down and we lock the gate for the night.
