True Lights

You can find us at B-2 on the lower ground floor, right opposite Aurobindo College. Being in a basement space means we don’t get a lot of natural light, which is funny considering the name of the business. We spend our days surrounded by all kinds of bulbs, wires, and fixtures. It’s a bit of a maze inside with boxes stacked almost to the ceiling. The location is great because of the college across the street, so there are always students and people walking by, making the area feel very alive even if we are tucked downstairs. The shop itself is quite simple. We have a counter that’s seen better days and a few stools for when we need to sit down and test a light or fix a connection. It gets a bit noisy when the traffic picks up outside, and you can hear the buses stopping nearby. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in the city. We just provide what people in the neighborhood need when their lights go out or they are building something new. Sometimes the inventory gets a little disorganized, but we usually know exactly which pile a specific part is in. We don't use a lot of fancy technology for our records, mostly just a notebook and some pens. It’s a quiet life down here, just tinkering with things and making sure the shop stays open for whoever happens to drop by today.
