Our office is situated on the 3rd floor of Lotus Tower, right in the New Friends Colony community center. It’s a decent area to work in, with a bit more greenery than you usually find in the industrial zones. We occupy section 3B. The office is usually full of the sound of keyboards clicking and people talking on their headsets. We deal with some of the bigger engineering projects that involve heavy machinery, so a lot of paperwork and planning at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries India Pvt Ltd goes through this office. While we aren't the ones out there operating the cranes, we make sure the right parts and people are in the right places. It’s a lot of coordination between the different teams. We have a small table in the corner where we keep the kettle and some biscuits for when we need a short break. The building stays pretty busy, so you see a lot of people from other companies in the lobby or by the elevators. Flashy displays and big signs aren't our thing. It’s just a functional workspace where we get things done. Some of us have been working together for over a decade now, so we know each other's habits and how everyone likes their tea. It’s a professional environment, but we keep it friendly and relaxed. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make sure everything stays on schedule throughout the week. It's about being reliable.
