Microtech Switchgears

Microtech Switchgears is situated in the H-17 block of the DSLDC Industrial Complex. This is out on the Nangloi Rohtak Road, a place that is always busy with traffic and industrial activity. Our workshop is where we put together various switchgears and electrical components. It’s a functional space with workbenches covered in tools, wires, and metal casings. The floor is concrete and can get pretty cold in the winter months. We usually have several projects going at once, so there are parts spread out all over the place. The complex itself is quite old and the roads inside can be a bit bumpy. We have a small team of people who know how to handle the wiring and the assembly. Most days are spent sitting at the benches or testing the units to make sure they work before we pack them into crates. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby; you just walk right into the work area. The air is often thick with the smell of solder and cut metal. It’s a straightforward environment where we don't worry about being fancy. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get the work done on time. During the rainy season, the road outside gets quite muddy, so we spend a lot of time mopping the floor. It’s just the usual grind of a small manufacturing shop in a busy industrial part of Delhi.
