Nehru Place is a chaotic place to work, but we’ve been here at Micro Devices Inc for a long time. Our office is in Bhandari House, specifically rooms 306 and 307. It’s a busy spot. You can hear the traffic and the shouting from the market below all day. Inside, it’s mostly just desks and stacks of papers and some old filing cabinets that have seen better days. The walls are a bit yellowed, but it’s home to us. We don’t have a fancy lobby or any of that corporate stuff. Most days it’s just us sitting around the computers or talking to people who drop by. The lift in Bhandari House is often slow, so we end up taking the stairs more than we’d like. It’s good exercise, I guess. We get our tea from a small stall just around the corner, and the guy knows exactly how much sugar we like. It’s a practical life. We aren’t trying to be the biggest company out there, we just want to get through the orders and make sure everything is sorted by the time we lock up. Nehru Place has its own rhythm, and once you get used to the noise and the crowd, it’s not so bad. We know most of the people on our floor. It feels more like a community than just a business park. We just keep doing our thing and staying busy.
