Mek

Mek is based right in the middle of Dariya Ganj, which is a really crowded and lively area. Our spot is at Plot No-4844/24 on Ansari Road. Being so close to the Delhi Gate Metro Station makes it easy for people to get to us, but the traffic on the main road can be a bit much in the afternoons. We have been in this building for quite some time. It is an old structure with high ceilings and narrow stairs, typical for this part of Delhi. We handle a variety of items here, mostly stuff related to the trade that goes on in this market. The office is usually full of the sounds of the street outside—horns honking and people shouting. It’s not the quietest place to work, but it keeps us energized. We don't have a fancy lobby or any of that. Usually, you’ll find us sitting around a big table covered in ledger books and samples. We try to stay on top of things, though it can get a bit chaotic when several deliveries arrive at once. The metro station is just a short walk away, so we often see people rushing past our door. We’ve grown to like the fast pace of Ansari Road. It is just a simple operation where we focus on getting the daily tasks finished before the market closes for the night.
