M.C. Enterprises

Working in the lower ground floor of the WTC building means you don't get much sun during the day. We’re tucked away in unit 108 at Barakhamba Lane, right in the middle of Connaught Place. It’s a strange feeling being down there while thousands of people are walking around right above your head. The office at M.C. Enterprises is small, and we’ve had to be clever with how we stack the shelves to make everything fit. Since we’re in CP, the commute is always a bit of a nightmare with the metro crowds, but you get used to the rhythm of it. The air conditioning in the building hums all day long, which is the main sound we hear since we don't have many windows. We spend a lot of time on the phone or typing away at the computers. It’s a bit cramped, especially when we have a lot of paperwork to go through, but it’s a good location for being near everything else. Sometimes we go up to the street level just to see what the weather is like. Barakhamba Lane is always packed with people in suits and street food vendors. We’ve been in this basement spot for a while now. It’s a practical space for what we do, even if it’s not the most glamorous corner of Delhi. We just keep our heads down and get the work finished without making too much of a fuss.
