Kp Leather Associates

We are located over at C 163 in Phase 2 of the Mayapuri Industrial Area. If you know Mayapuri, you know it’s a bit of a maze and always crowded with carts and trucks. Kp Leather Associates has been in this spot for a while, and we’ve gotten used to the noise and the constant activity of the neighborhood. Leather work is a bit of a gritty business. There’s always dust from the cutting and the smell of the hides being processed. It’s hard work on the hands and back. Our shop isn't a showroom; it's a place where things actually get made. We have stacks of material piled up in the corners and tools scattered across the workbenches. Most of the guys here have been doing this for a long time, so they don’t need much direction. We just show up, see what needs to be finished, and get to it. Sometimes the power goes out in this part of the industrial area, and we just sit outside on the steps until it comes back on. It’s a good time to catch up with the guys from the next unit over. We don't use any fancy computer systems to track everything—mostly just notebooks and pencils. It’s an old-school way of doing things, but it works for us. We just want to do the work and go home to our families at the end of the day.
