Mavlana Azad Hospital

We have been at N-2 Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg for a long time now. It is a very busy place, and honestly, the building shows its age in a few spots if you look at the corners or the ceiling tiles. Most of us who work here are used to the constant noise coming from the main road outside. You can hear the horns and the buses all day long even when the windows are shut. The waiting area gets quite crowded in the mornings, and sometimes there aren't enough chairs for everyone, so people just lean against the walls. We spend a lot of our time just directing people to different departments because the layout is a bit confusing if you are new. There is a small tea stall near the entrance where the staff goes to get away for five minutes when things get too hectic. The floors are made of that old stone that never looks perfectly clean no matter how much it gets mopped. It is a practical place, not a fancy one. We handle a lot of paperwork by hand still, and the filing cabinets are mostly stuffed full. People come here because they know where we are, right on the main stretch of Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg. It is just a regular part of the neighborhood, and we keep things running as best as we can despite the daily rush and the heat.
