Mata Foods & Grains

Mata Foods & Grains is located at Shop No. G77/A4 in Dilshad Colony. We are right on the Main Simapuri Road so you can see us when you drive past the main strip there. Dealing with grains means there is a lot of heavy lifting and moving large sacks around all day long. My back usually aches by the evening but you get used to it after a few years. The shop is filled with the smell of raw grains and flour. We get a lot of dust on everything so we are constantly sweeping the floor to keep it somewhat clean. Dilshad Colony is a busy place and the Main Simapuri Road is always full of people going to work or heading home. We see a lot of the same faces every day and we usually give a nod or a quick hello to the regulars. It is a simple business without any of the fancy stuff you see in the big malls. We just have our scales and our sacks and our ledgers. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late because of the traffic and we have to stay open a bit longer to wait for them. It is a lot of hard work and the hours can be long but it is a solid way to make a living. We don't need much more than a roof over our heads and enough work to keep us occupied until the day is done.
