Our shop is right in the middle of the chaos at Sadar Bazar. We are on the second floor of Shrinath Market, shop number 2474/14, which is in Teli Wada, just across from the Jhabhanlal Dharmshala. If you know Sadar Bazar, you know how crowded it gets with people and carts everywhere. Getting up to the second floor can be a bit of a climb when it is hot, but we have been here for a long time. The shop is packed floor to ceiling with stock. It is a traditional way of doing business where we know our neighbors and we know the regulars who come by. We do not have air conditioning, just some old ceiling fans that do their best. Most of the day is spent talking to customers, showing them what we have, and writing out receipts by hand. It is noisy outside with all the shouting and the bells, but inside we just focus on the trade. We drink tea brought in from the stall downstairs at least three times a day. It is not a polished corporate office by any means. It is a place where we do business face-to-face and handle things the old-fashioned way. Some people might find it overwhelming, but we like the energy of the market. It has been our home for years and we do not see that changing anytime soon. It is just a simple shop in a very busy place.
