Malasart

Malasart is a small place located in Giri Nagar, over in the Kalkaji area. We are specifically in Tilak Khand. It’s a bit of a quiet corner compared to the main roads nearby. We do a lot of creative and artistic work here. The space is filled with whatever projects we are currently working on, so there’s often a bit of paint or dust around. We don't have a big staff or a fancy reception area. It’s just a place where we make things. People in the neighborhood know us as the place in Tilak Khand where the art stuff happens. We don't have a big philosophy or anything like that. We just like making things and we’ve been doing it here in Giri Nagar for a while. Sometimes the workshop gets really crowded when we have a big project going on. We just move things around and make space. It’s a very casual environment. We don't wear uniforms and there isn't a lot of structure to how we spend our hours, as long as the work gets finished. Kalkaji is a busy place, but our little corner in Giri Nagar stays mostly peaceful. We often have music playing while we work, just something to keep the energy up. We don't have any formal training for the most part, we just learned by doing things over and over. It's a messy process, but that's how art usually goes.
