Our place is at B-Ii/35 in the Mohan Co.Op. Indl. Estate, which is right in the Badarpur area. If you know the industrial estate, you know it’s mostly just big buildings and trucks moving in and out all day long. We have been here for a long time, working with textiles and threads. The factory floor is always humming with the sound of the machines, and it never really gets quiet until late at night. The air has that specific smell of fabric and oil that you only find in places like this. We are a pretty large team, but everyone has their own specific job to do on the line. It is not the kind of job where you sit around; you’re always on your feet making sure the quality is what it needs to be. The commute to Badarpur can be a bit of a nightmare during rush hour, so most of us try to get in early. We have a small canteen where we get our tea and talk about the news. It’s a practical environment. We don’t go in for much decoration or fancy stuff in the office. Everything is built for work. The guys in the loading bay are probably the hardest workers here, dealing with all those heavy crates in the heat. It is just a regular industrial life at Madura Coats, keeping the production moving day and night. We just focus on getting the thread out to the customers.
