M S Lodha Co is right here on Street No 14 in Bhajan Pura. It’s a pretty busy part of Delhi, and sometimes the traffic makes it a real headache to get to the door, but we like it here well enough. We have been at C 297 for quite some time now. Most people around here know us by sight. It is not a fancy office or anything like that, just some desks, old chairs, and the work we do every single day. Usually, we try to start early in the morning before the sun gets too hot and the street gets too loud. The neighbors are good people, mostly other small shop owners and families living in the flats upstairs. You can hear the bikes and rickshaws going by all day long. We keep things simple. If someone needs to stop by, they usually just walk in without much fuss. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy out front. It is just us doing what we’ve always done. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside for a bit until the power comes back. It is just the way things go in this part of town. We don’t mind the noise or the dust much anymore. It feels like home after all these years. We just keep our heads down and get through the pile of papers on the desk before heading home for dinner.
