M J Logistics Ltd. operates out of Sahibabad, which is in the Ghaziabad area of Uttar Pradesh. We are located at C 122 B in Lajpat Nagar—not the one in Delhi, but the one over here in Ghaziabad. This area is very industrial, so there are factories and warehouses all around us. The air always smells a bit like diesel and metal. Our building is a simple structure that gets the job done. Inside, it is mostly just desks and stacks of shipping manifests. We spend our hours coordinating with the local rail yards and trucking hubs nearby. It is a noisy place to work, with the sound of machinery and sirens in the distance. We do not really do much decorating; the walls are mostly covered in calendars and duty rosters. It gets very hot in the summer, and the fans just move the warm air around, but we are used to it. The team here is mostly local guys who have been in the transport business for years. We do not have fancy titles or big offices. We just sit together and sort out the daily logistics problems. Sometimes a shipment gets delayed at the border or a truck breaks down, and then it is all hands on deck to fix it. It is practical, everyday work that keeps things moving in this industrial belt. We just take it one day at a time.
