Our place is at 451 Esplande Road, right in the heart of the Cycle Market in Chandni Chowk. If you’ve ever walked through these lanes, you know how crowded it gets. There are cycles and rickshaws everywhere you look. Luthra & Co. has been part of this market for many years. Our shop is packed with parts and boxes from floor to ceiling. It’s a bit of a maze inside, but we know exactly where everything is kept. Dealing with customers in Chandni Chowk is always interesting. You meet all kinds of people every single day. Some are looking for a specific bolt, others want a whole frame. We spend a lot of time talking and negotiating over the counter. It’s not like a modern shopping mall where everything is quiet and clean. It’s loud, it’s hot, and there is always someone shouting for a rickshaw to move. We like the energy of the place though. We don’t have a big marketing department or a fancy website. Most people find us because they’ve been coming here for decades or their father used to buy from us. We keep our records in big ledgers and drink a lot of chai throughout the day. The building is old and the wooden stairs creak, but it’s home for us. We just try to be helpful and give people what they need for their bikes. It's simple, honest work in a very old part of town.
