Lite Zone

Lite Zone is over at 1568-A in Bhagirath Palace. If you know Chandni Chowk, you know how packed it gets every single day. We have been in this spot for a good while now. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, just a small door among many others in the market. Inside, we have packed the shelves with all kinds of lights and electrical bits. It gets pretty hot in the summer and the narrow lanes don't help much with the breeze. We spend most of our mornings just moving boxes around so people can actually walk into the shop. It’s mostly local contractors who come by, but we get the occasional homeowner who got lost looking for a specific bulb. We don't have a big fancy team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. Sometimes it takes a minute to find a specific part because the piles get high. The market stays noisy from morning until we finally close up the shutters. It’s a lot of work keeping track of everything coming in and going out of such a small space. We don’t do anything fancy with the decor here. It's just a practical space for selling what people need for their houses or offices. You’ll usually find one of us sitting near the back with a register and a cup of tea. That’s pretty much how it goes every day at the shop.
