Raw Silk Enterprises

Raw Silk Enterprises is tucked away in Lajpat Nagar II, at K 41. It’s a busy neighborhood with a lot of shops and houses all mixed together. We’ve been working out of this spot for years, dealing mostly with fabrics and specifically silk. It’s a material that requires a bit of care, and we spend our time checking the rolls for any snags or issues before they go out. The shop isn't very big, so things can get a bit cramped when a new shipment arrives from the weavers. We aren't corporate people with suits; we’re usually in casual clothes, moving boxes around or showing samples to someone who walked in. Lajpat Nagar is always full of life, and we like being part of that energy. We don’t really do big advertising campaigns. Most people find us by word of mouth or by just walking past our door while shopping. It’s a very hands-on business. We touch the fabric, we check the colors, and we make sure everything is sorted correctly. Sometimes the power goes out or the street gets flooded during the heavy rains, but we just carry on. It’s a bit of an old-school way of doing things, but it works for us. We just focus on the fabric and the people who need it. It’s a small shop, but we keep it running every day without much fuss.
