Kewal Auto Center

Kewal Auto Center is based at 6/1533 in Karol Bagh. If you know this part of Delhi, you know it is the place to go for anything related to cars. Our shop is small and tucked into one of the many busy lanes here. It always smells like engine oil and rubber in here because we are constantly working on repairs or moving spare parts around. The walls are covered in tools and different sized belts and gaskets. It isn’t the cleanest place in the world, but we know exactly where every bolt is kept. We don't have a big waiting area for customers, so most people just stand on the sidewalk or go grab a snack while we work on their vehicles. Karol Bagh is always crowded and the noise of motorcycles is constant, but we just get used to it. My brother and I have been doing this for a long time and we’ve seen all kinds of car problems. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought because a part is stuck or rusted, and we end up staying late under the shop lights. We don't spend money on fancy signs or uniforms. We just wear our old clothes and get our hands dirty every day. It’s a busy life but we like being part of the community here. People trust us because we tell them straight what is wrong with their car and what it will cost to fix.
